Creating dazzle.

I have no idea how to make a typeface. Not really at least. Skillshare can only teach me so much. However, I'm trying my hand at exploring letter forms and this is what I've got: 

DAZZLE is gemstone-inspired typeface I first developed as part of an exercise in editorial layout. Still in its early stages, DAZZLE is slowly growing letter by letter.

My focus has been on the "cut" of each letter and the way light can be represented as it hits the "gemstones". Always a fan of flat design, I want this font to glimmer without popping away from the page at an alarming depth. Subtly is the name of the game. But also just an annoying amount of sketching gem cuts.
